The Smokefree Teen team went barefoot for One Day Without Shoes. Did you?
When you were younger, the adults in your life made most of your decisions for you. But that’s changed. You make most of your decisions now. You’re in control of the direction your life takes. Make sure you have what it takes to quit smoking.
We can’t pick and choose our life, but we can sure change it (for good or bad). Don’t let smoking stand in the way of your dreams to be a basketball star, a singer, a parent, or whatever you choose.
It isn’t the load that weighs us down; it’s the way we carry it. Try leaning on a friend to help you share the load the next time a craving hits.
Aim high, shoot low. Don’t set yourself up for failure with unrealistic expectations. Be reasonable about quitting, cutting back, or making a quit date that works for you.
